Ruhollah Momen Nasab, the manager of Internet Department of IT Development in the Ministry of the Culture and Islamic Guidance said that "linking the news to the blocked websites is a computer crime".
In an interview with Borna News Agency on Wednesday (July 27), Mr. Monen Nasab criticized the usage of the icons of "anti-Iranian blocked Persian and English" social networks on the websites.
He added that "referring to the third part of article V of the list of the criminal content of Computer Crimes Law", such usages are illegal.
According to this official of the Culture Ministry "such usage is not rationally and socially acceptable. Some news agencies advertise the headquarters of the soft-war in all their pages and encourage their users to visit such blocked networks, while we have powerful social networks in the country".
He added that "we have not to be glad of some few clicks on such websites because these clicks are not so effective and their returning visit is not a significant one".
According to him "the investigations show that the credit that your website bestows to the linked social network is 19 times more than returning clicks from that network to your website".
Many social networks are blocked in Iran; however a lot of websites, specially the conservative news websites use the icons of such networks to increase the propagation of their news and reports.
The authorities of the Islamic Republic introduce the social networks as the soft-war device of the enemies of the Islamic Republic against this regime.
