Hosein Hamedani, the commander of Tehran Sepah criticized the shortages of the cultural authorities and sat that the Islamic Republic has damaged heavily on soft war.
"Soft war" is a phrase which is being used by the supporters of the Islamic Republic's leader and extremist conservatives after people protests against the results of 2009 presidential election.
Fars News Agency reported on Tuesday September 27 that in his meeting with the staff of Welfare Organization, Mr. Hamedani has added that "the victims of this soft war have been more that the victims of 8 years of holly defense".
This Sepah commander has stated that "the cultural authorities have to do big and important missions in cultural field. They have to study the statements of the supreme leader and operationalize these statements".
Tehran Sepah commander has added that "today, the commanders of the soft war, and the officers and soldiers of this war field have to be completely aware because the enemy has lurked for us".
The cleric and military governors of Iran call the protests the "soft war". They try to train the "officers and soldiers of the soft war" to win this type of war.
Previously, Mohammad Reza Naqfi, the chief commander of Basij organization had declared that the Islamic Republic "needs more 35,000 mosques and 150,000 clerics to win the soft war".
After the protests to 2009 election results, Basij Organization implemented a project named "Salehin" ["Righteous Forces"] which aims to "encounter the soft war".
Currently the most important strategy of Basij and Sepah is to fulfill this plan in all Basij headquarters in governmental offices and residential zones.
Sepah commanders hope to minimize the vulnerability of Basij forces in soft war by such a plan.
